Facilitation & Collaboration
Turning shared understanding into shared action.
I have executed an array of quick creative collaboration sessions and large-scale strategy workshops with the goal of bringing all aspects of people in people into the creative process. From initial strategy scoping to ideation and planning sessions, my goal is to not only guide innovation but come out the other side with real ownership and clarity on next steps. With a strong grounding in service design and people-first acquimen, I tailor every workshop to its context and purpose.
Selected Projects & Clients
Internal | Solutions Architect Mapping
As an ongoing effort to support internal internal business development, I have acted as the lead facilitator on multiple efforts aimed at untangling a complex system landscape and defining a clear future state. I have led full day workshops with a cross-functional group of technical SMEs, solution architects, and leadership, and worked to guide the team through mapping current workflows, surfacing operational pain points, and aligning on key opportunities for transformation.
Outcomes are often insight reports, follow-up conversations, and/or executive-ready visual artifact that serve as a north star for both leadership and technical teams. These deliverables are a foundational tool for aligning stakeholders, informing technical roadmaps, and driving decision-making throughout the capture effort.
Marine Corps | IT Manpower Systems
As the Design Thinking lead for a Marine Corps IT systems modernization program, I design and facilitated a series of full-day, in-person workshops with senior leaders, program executives, and technical stakeholders at Marine Corps Headquarters. These sessions focused on mapping both the current (As-Is) and future (To-Be) journeys of critical manpower systems, capturing how Marines and administrators interact with legacy processes and envisioning how those experiences should evolve to support Talent Management 2030 initiative.
My role was to create the structure and space for collaborative problem-solving, working to balance the perspectives (and personalities) of leadership, policy owners, and technical SMEs. These workshops surfaced pain points within outdated workflows and identified key opportunities for modernization. The outcomes included insights reports and updated future-state journey maps that directly informed the program’s systems architecture, acquisition strategy, and technical roadmap. These artifacts became essential tools for aligning leadership decisions with end-user needs and operational realities.
Kennedy Center | Strategic Planning Workshop
As part of a pro-bono engagement with the Kennedy Center’s Office of the President, I helped design and facilitate a series of strategic workshops that shaped their five-year organizational plan. This work began with pre-workshop research, including stakeholder interviews, secondary research, and framing key opportunity areas. Our goal was to bring a human-centered approach to a traditionally top-down strategic process.
Through two full-day workshops, I helped guide leadership in mapping the current audience experience, internal operations, and emerging fundraising challenges. Key insights surfaced around accessibility gaps, evolving community expectations, and digital engagement opportunities. The facilitation structure allowed leadership to align around tangible priorities. like improving cross-department collaboration, rethinking how the Center serves diverse audiences, and defining new success metrics beyond fundraising goals. These insights became foundational to the development of a people-centered, sustainable five-year strategy.
